    Very Slow Broadband

      Very Slow Broadband

      This is what my statistics look like

      Yesterday my broadband was working perfectly fine. Today, it seems to have slowed down drastically as per the stats below.

      I have had Sky Broadband since November 2006 and this is the first time it is slowed down like this.

      Line Attenuation 52.0 db 40.4 db usually about 40.0 db
      Noise Margin 7.3 db 11.0 db dropped drastically

      What could the problem be?

      I have tried to connect to Easynet Support Page but this isn't working at all

      yes browsing is very slow. tried rebooting the router and doesn't improve the connection at all.

      Why has my attenuation increased from 40 db to 53 db, my noise margin decreased to 7 db and my download speed dropped to 3500 kbps?

      whats the weather been like.... maybe heavy rain has damaged overhead BT cables or flooding underground if they are underground?

      IANTE - are there any known issues at the moment, with customers synching at normal speed but with low thoroughput? As in browsing. We just seem to be getting multiple threads, about this, whilst looking at the stats, there doesn't appear to be any issues.

      The only thing I could possibly relate to is the time last year when my connection was pants, with no apparent issues, apart from a period of very heavy rain fall. Again, this is a common factor at the moment.
