a service status page on MySky would be far better (or at least on the easynet website). There did used to be one on easynet, but i cant find it anymore.

Not if you can't connect to the net.

very true, but your problem was in relation to very poor speeds as opposed to no connection at all.

      ^^^^^^^^^^
You mean this one - http://support.uk.easynet.net/status...ice=2&action=1 I think they probably got peed of with Sky users accessing it. Getting a Connection interrupted message at the moment.

A dedicated phone number would be better than a web page as many don't have any way to get on the net when their home connection is down. Wishful thinking maybe

yep, all the googled service status pages that i found are timing out

Ideally you would have a web page for situations where your conncection was not performing as normal and also a recorded number for cases where the exchange is totally down.

The web page was also good for seeing future 'planned' maintenance.

As I say, seems to change after multiple tries. Sometimes I get loads of localhost entries. Sometimes I get nothing at all. I did try this earlier and remember getting an entry from amazon.com. Only I haven't visited amazon all day, and would of gone to .co.uk anyway??? So don't have a clue what that was about.

Also, this doens't seem to be a bandwidth hogging issue. The light on the front of my router isn't flashing to signal any traffic throughput. It struggles to flash when I try to load a page on this website. Each page here is taking up to a minute to load. The light on the router flashes a few times every few seconds (not consistently though) to give me a few bytes, bit by bit, then eventually the page will load.
has anyone else seen this xxxxxxxx.bb.sky.com:http in netstat because im noticing anything from 2-20 connections to it when i open internet explorer mozilla firefox and msn messenger

      Probably spyware or a Virus.
It definately shouldn't bring up 2-20 connections though...
