BT Home Hub and Sky BB

      Hi all,
Even though it's against the T+C's, can you use the latest BT Home Hub as a replacement for the sky router..?

The reason why I ask is I currently want to move to wireless N and I also like the idea of the hub as it has the phone and router all in one.

      Much appreciated

      Mark

Can the BT homehub accept a username or password or is it hard coded in?

As for actually working, I will leave it to someone who is familiar with it to comment.

Re: BT Home Hub and Sky BB

      Hi mate,
I am not sure as I don't own a Home Hub. I just like the look of the unit as it looks nice and compact so I wouldn't have to have a phone and router on show.

      Hope someone can help..?

Just Google for 'unlocking BT Home Hub' and you will get some idea of what you are up against, especially with the newer version, which is the one with Draft N.

If I had a pound for every HH I have seen dumped in the bin because they are poor routers...... you get the drift
The v2 is reconed to be better, but my advice would be to look elsewhere

Re: BT Home Hub and Sky BB

I think Marco would like opinions on Netgear Wireless N routers
Probably looking through the reviews in some place like Broadbandbuyer or similar would be the best way to find out which are recommended.
