    Upgrade - No Go!

    For 48 hours now I've been trying to access the online 'Upgrade' on 'My Sky', to go from base to mid. All I get is the following screen change and message viz;

    SORRY

    We are sorry, but this service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again after some time.

    You can call the following numbers to continue ordering by phone:

    New customers: 08442 411 268

    Existing customers: 08442 411 333

    Having given up hanging on the phone, I wondered if the 'suspension' of the online upgrade service is either a long-fault, or a machination by Sky to try and flog you something else you don't need? Does anyone know whats going on?

    There were definately a few problems on sky.com last night and to be honest it's not exactly unknown for the site to have issues. If you call them up with the soul intent to upgrade from base to mid they are unlikely to be able to sell you another package.

    Re: Upgrade - No Go!

    Thanks Paul, as I said I waited 20 mins for a reply by phone, not for the first time, so I try to deal with Sky by their website and then only when I have to. When you do get through it's not worth the stress anyway.

    The same fault is still there today (20th, at 1.37pm) by the way.

    Sky support has to be almost as bad as dealing with a Government Dept!
