      New SKYBB Installation Connection Issues

      Hi,

I have had skyBB installed and activated sine 08/08/08. I started using the connection from 8am that day.
i have lost connection a number of times since the connection was made active and also i have noticed that the speed i am getting is not the speed i was informed my line was capable of by both BT and SKy.

Called sky and was informed that this was due to the 5 day bedding in period.

is this the case or am i being fobbed off?

Router is connected to a 2nd socket which is about 5m away from master socket. that socket then has a connection to my frontroom about another 7m away which connects to my SKY+ box all sockets have filters installed.

any advice is more than welcome even if its.. "wait n see"

With the issues you had getting connected, it would be better to give it a few days to 'settle' as they say.

It would do no harm to post your stats, taken from your normal position and from the Test socket, behind the Master socket faceplate. This will confirm if your internal line is OK.

Note - When downloading always select the Custom install or you will end up with stuff you don't want.

There may be the answer as to why.

It would be better doing it now, if your wiring is not 100%, you will get an artificially low result.
