I have had about 120 so far. And I don't use a Sky email address. (or any other ISP's)

      Re: Purported from CNN

Bucket loads, but (as yet) not to my sky e-mail account, but to one I have from my website's domain. Keep having to set up rules to delete them as the bu99ers keep changing things to get round the filters !

Yeah I have just checked my online Sky account and it has stopped a load of these from reaching my inbox.

Getting them through my +net account. They contain a Flash 'Update which is actually a worm. So don't click anything on them. Sky filters are taking them out, but if you are getting mail through another account, you may get them.

My son has just walked in with his PC. He was daft enough to click a link and now has a worm infection, for me to fix

Yeah the google filters are throwing them into the spam filter here, haven't even bothered looking at them to be honest. The ammount of badnwidth these spammers waste each day is pathetic, get em off the net and burn their PCs lol.

Thankfully no, our mail server at the office is configured to block all email from outside the UK unless White listed. Without this in place we would be getting 10,000+ spam emails per day looking at the blocked stats.

      Re: Purported from CNN

The trouble is that this is not Spam in the accepted sense, which apart from gobbling bandwidth and being a nuisance, does no real harm. This is a concentrated attack by hackers who are attempting to obtain details from your machine by installing keyloggers, phone homes etc. There are going to be real bad repercussions about this, many will fall into the trap and end up with badly compromised machines.

For the record I received 3 in the spam folder. Likewise do not have Sky e-mail, still using old ISP aol.co.uk.
