    Slow connection

      Slow connection

      My interent has been pretty slow for a while now and have found it difficult to load up anything on the internet

      heres my router stats

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 13565 kbps 760 kbps
      Line Attenuation 24 db 6 db
      Noise Margin 5 db 16 db

      and when i run the sites broadband speed tester I get
      download speed 376Kbps
      upload speed 412Kbps

      You have a very good connection speed so your download should in the region of 12mbps by ethernet, much less by wireless. Have you optimized your PC? If you have not, download and run TCPOptimizer from the Link below. This only applies to XP and older, Vista is pretty good at optimizing itself.

      If you are running Vista, check that you have the latest manufacturers drivers for your network card. It may be worth doing this if you are running XP and older as well. Don't trust the Windows drivers, they don't always do a good job.
