    Landline phone not working

      Landline phone not working

      Since I plugged my Sky router in my landline phone will not work.

      Everything was fine with my old (Tiscali) router.

      I have tried using my old filters and cables as well as the ones provided by Sky.

      Any suggestions?

      Edit: I am not sure whch version router I have.

      Ok, if you have filters correctly set and the phone is ok until you plug the modem in then it may be that BT have made a hash of the exchange end of things or the router may be faulty. How many sockets have you got in use on the line, have you tried changing the filter the router is on in case its faulty and do you have a test socket available on your main socket?
      It may need a call to Sky to get the issue looked at, do you lose dial tone or suffer bad noise on the line when the router is there??

      Remember too that you need filters on everything you have plugged into the line, this includes the Sky TV box. The extension supplied with this does not have a filter, it is purely a splitter.
