It looks like you are capped at 7776. You may have to ask them to bring it down a bit more to stabilize it. It should not be necessary, even if BT have cleared the line, if you are getting drop outs from the Test socket, then there is a fault on your line or at the exchange.

      Re: Intermittent Disconnection Problem

Yeah it was exactly the same on the test socket! Spoke with sky and the guy in BT Escalations who i dealt with previously is gonna keep an eye on my line for another 48 hours then call me back! Ive jumped thru all their hoops and tried everything now apart from the exchange so i hope they get it sorted!

I dont really want my line capped again as it was done 4 times from the original 8096 downstream i was getting without any probs for 10 months down to 5786 and it made not one bit of a difference to my connection staying stable so cannot see it making a difference this time!!

I don't think you are Sam, you have established that there is noise on your line which is causing your problem. It is not Sky's fault that your phone supplier will not fix it. The OP has had his line checked by BT who say there is no fault, but there obviously is.

      Re: Intermittent Disconnection Problem

If you have noise on your line it is your line providers responsibility to sort it and not Sky (unless sky is your line provider obviously). You would be amazed how many customers are being sent to us to ask for us to sort the line issues out by BT because they do not want to have to pay for the engineers time and expect Sky to do it for them.
