Re: Sky Crackdown illegal downloads help

Feling guilty? I would assume it'll just be a warning, "we know (or think) you're downloading illegally" rather than a "... and these are the files you're downloading"
I'm not sure exactly how they track it, it's not actually illegal to download torrents, just the files that come with it. Also most torrent clients encrypt the files and randomise the ports they use so it's even harder to track what and if you're downloading that way.

      Hope this helps

i doubt they will list files you have downloaded

also is it just for music or movies/videos as well?

Purely music at the moment, and it's more for file sharers. If you're more of a leecher (i.e. download and then move it to a different location), then you're not seen as such a bad man. It's when you seed your downloads for others to share. Have a look at this link

There's probably a setting which says, shutdown Bit Torrent when finished downloading...

I'm actually guilt free for music as I download legally/pay for the flac versions.
Now when it comes to TV Shows...

Just limit your upload speed in your torrent client if you are downloading from public trackers like The Pirate Bay.

Better still, stick to private torrent sites which are a lot quicker to download from (you will need to maintain a good ratio though).
