They put a cancel request on my account??!!!??!!!

If you recall, I sent a letter of complaint to sky, threatening to cancel if I had heard nothing before the end of Monday next week.

However, the line activated on Tuesday, so I assumed all was fine and dandy, and left it at that.

Today I got a call telling me that they'd received my letter, had seen that I was provisioned and using the serivce, but had noticed someone had requested a cancellation that was pending on my account!

      Arrrgh!

I re-iterated that i had THREATENED to cancel if I had heard nothing, and since I was active, there was NO NEED to cancel.

      What are these plebs doing??!!!

      I will keep you updated.

NB: A colelage of mine has had virtually the same experience but wht Orange broadband. She cancelled, but found they had activated her on the same day she'd cancelled. Now her line is blocked to all other broadband providers, and has been that way for over a month!

What is it and the state of british broadband these days/???

Yes I remember the post and I guess they are taking the threat from anyone who threatens to cancel as being well if thats what you want then we will oblige.

Maybe they have had enough of people threatening to do it and have now decided to take the treat as being real.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

A nice easy way for them to get rid of the excess amounts of people they have taken on. When I first placed my order they called me two days afterwards and asked me if I wanted to upgrade my TV package. I didn't take advantage and they cancelled my broadband order as well.
