If I had a pound for every customer that has been suspended for abuse and has never been informed by Sky at least 5 calls per day I get and the MAC is suspended due to abuse. The MAC isnt black listed at all it just gets suspended until the EU phones up and asks.

Any user suspended for exceeding the download limit, without being notified, should take Sky to Court and sue them as they are breaking their own T & Cs. They cannot apply one section of the T & Cs and ignore another. The only time they have the right to immediately suspend the account is when they consider that the security of a particular PC has been compromised.

Abuse isn't just about download limits, it can be things like virus/ trojan activity etc on the connection. Also a letter is sent to the EU telling them the reason why and what to do to resolve the issue. obviously the letter will take a day or so to arrive and in the mean time the EU may call in thinking its a tech issue.
