I live in Tunbridge wells and I have basic,my problem is that most evenings it just wont connect, sometimes it has a yellow light and sometimes green.Generally but not always it connects after 12 at night. When it does connect it stays so and speed is OK.I presume this is a contention problem and that nothing can be done bar cutting the others lines with cutters(!)
Do you think i am correct

With "Line Attenuation 43 db ", Your "Connection Speed 2048 kbps" should be much higher.
Have you tryed removing the Master socket Face plate, and connecting your router directly to the test socket via a filter of course.
Then re-post the new stats!

The stats show very clearly that the connection is capped at 2048kbps - whether that's because the connection package is Base or a capped higher package isn't obvious; the Skyuser profile still hasn't been updated which is exasperating. A test socket comparison is a good idea but don't forget, on a capped line/at the package limit the sync won't change - it's a shift in noise margin that will show if there's an issue with the wiring.
The upshot is that despite a noise margin of 15db, the problems still exist.
My guess is that there is a problem with the filtering or a really rubbish extension in play.

Because the noise margin is 15db, plus, in computer terms, 2048kbps =2meg. The clincher would be to see the router reported max rate. As I said before, he's either on Base or on a higher package capped.
The first sticky in my signature will give you some background on stats and their meaning. It's a little out of date but the principles still hold.
