On the subject of wireless (not the problem here but it was mentioned so it may help others reading the site), the Sky routers appear to have problems with wireless from my own experience, dropping out quite often (see my signature).

On the subject of your dropouts, how long are they occurring for?

My connection used to drop out for anything from an hour to a few hours. I got fed up and chased Sky support for a few weeks (you really have to stay on top of them and call them nearly every day to get things done and to avoid them closing your issue without a resolution) and they sent someone to sort out the exchange near where I live. After that the connectivity with the ADSL was sorted (not the one with the wireless problems, I had to fix that myself with extra self purchased hardware).
