Looks like a cap, you mention in another thread a problem with the line cutting out if the phone is in use, is that still correct?
How many telephone sockets are there on the line and how many are in use, are you on a proper socket or using an extension? Does your main socket have a split going left to right on the faceplate just above the screws that hold it to the wall? Are there filters on each socket in use on the line?

Aye, post back your physical setup, if its correct then you may need to call Sky tech support for slow speed troubleshooting, CST may be able to look at it.

Re: Someone help me with speed problems?

I have a telephone line extension running from the master socket. connected to this extension is the microfilter which my phone and router line is connected to.

"Does your main socket have a split going left to right on the faceplate just above the screws that hold it to the wall?"

      - Yes it does. I only have One socket connected to the wall.

I just want to resolve the speed issue. - Disconnections I can cope with because I don't use the phone very much. I don't think I am capped because I rarely download like 40gb a month - more like 2 gig a week.

Can someone also check if the noise on the line is normal because I don't know the ideal values.

      ---------------------------------------------------

If DLM is on my line when will it be taken off? should one call sort it? I heard you have to keep your router on for DLM to complete but as I have said my broadband line gets cut off after I receive a call or if a call is made.... so does that reset the DLM?

Re: Someone help me with speed problems?

It's most likely to be the extension causing the issue or is the main reason behind some of the symptoms. Can you connect directly to the main socket with a filter or is that not a possibility?
If you can get off the extension then it might help stabilise things, even better if you can get into the test socket, if the connection is still rubbish in the test socket then keep it plugged in there, call sky bb tech support and go through troubleshooting for slow speed or intermittant connection, likelihood either way is that you go to cst who can then look at your line speed etc and sort it out.

Re: Someone help me with speed problems?

I cannot connect directly to the phone socket. But everything was fine with the same setup two weeks ago. I used to get the speed I was paying for.

Re: Someone help me with speed problems?

Then it's most likely DLM kicking in, are there any other telephone sockets on the line? You will need to call Sky tech support for troubleshooting and escalation but they may point to the extension as the problem. Might be worth not mentioning it straight away to the T1.

you need to rule out your extention, just because is was fine before does not mean it cannot change.

you also need to post your router stats
