It is still capped and as you said earlier, only Sky can uncap it. Phone call to Sky is required before the original speed will be seen.

      Thanks All for your advice.

Have not had time to change the filters round again but will get round to it later today. Received a call from BT this morning advising that they found a fault and it had been repaired so not sure if the filters were a red herring. Although the chances of me changing the filter and them fixing the fault at the same time would be very slim.

Still waiting for my call back from Sky, I will chase them later today.

      Thanks

      Update

After spending almost 45mins on the phone to Sky I was eventually put through to their 2nd line support who reconfigured the line within 2mins.

They have now put me on to ADSL2+

      Stats as follows.

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 10845 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 38 db 10.5 db
Noise Margin 5 db 16 db

      It pays to persevere

A year ago your noise margin might have been a bit worrying, but with the newer firmware it should hold OK.
