      Sky Broadband

Do you have to be logged on through your Sky router to gain access to your Sky.com email address through OE?

I have input all the settings as found on here in OE but can't get it to receive any mail.

I connect through Orange at the mo - I have my Sky router but no activation date yet.

      Cheers.

I moved from NTL to SkyBB yesterday, and have been trying to access my new sky email account from NTL for a few days now (via OE) with no joy at all. As soon as my Sky connection went live, the email worked fine. So I guess that you have to be connected with a Sky/Easyney IP address to access the mail server.

I think your email only become active when your broadband account goes active

Yes it does so in theory once you are activated the whole system should turn on access to all the SkyBB extras as well but some may find access to the SkyBB portal may not work as they still seem to be having some trouble finding the glitch.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      Thanks everyone.

I find it strange that you can log into http://www.skybroadband.com

I have never been able to get in there not even after I was connected to SkyBB

      log in prob.

I was unable to log in to www.skybroadband.com until yesterday evening when I rang Sky on 0870 6091357.They told me that my log in had been suspended because I had been trying to log in so many times with an incorrect password. They reactivated my user name and told me to click on "forgotten password" to put in new one and hey presto, i was in!
      Any help?
