      Download speed always reduces or runs at 12kbps-15kbps

      These are my router stats
      Modem
      ADSL Firmware Version A2pB023b.d20e
      Modem Status Connected
      DownStream Connection Speed 128 kbps
      UpStream Connection Speed 128 kbps
      VPI 0
      VCI 38
      Line Attenuation 41.0 db 28.0 db
      Noise Margin 32.7 db 13.0 db

      I've done the master socket/test socket stuff, no success... It's weird though because all my downloads start off high and slowly reduce to.. 12kbps ... it's really annoying. I'm sure this can be resolved...

      128 up/down is test speed...you have a fault and you got a new router? seems like they didn't correct the line after replacing it...

      ok how do i go about correcting this? I'll phone sky but i don't know exactly what to say.... help appreciated

      call and say that you had your line capped due to a previous fault and you need it lifted. hopefully the agent is clever enough to see you're capped and they pass you to CST...
