      Warmer Drier Weather

Since the Weather became a little warmer and drier, I have noticed the SNR and Noise margins have become steadily worse, but have not seen such a large drop in speed as would be suggested by these figures.

My current Line attenuation is 63.5db and the noise margin 3.8db but I am getting a Download Speed of 3043kbps and no drop out.(Attenuation did go to 64db at one point with a similar speed).

A couple of weeks ago, the Line attenuation was 63db and the Noise Margin between 7.5 and 9db and a Download Speed of 3600kbps

Is this normal, and if we do have a blazing summer, am I destined to start with Line Drops and slowing speeds ?

I think it would be unusual if your line deteriorates during the summer, the opposite is normal. Most connections drop down a bit in the winter, due to extra EM noise caused by extra lighting/heating etc..
