      Help needed quickly

      I will tell you this quick before the internet goes off.

      I was with bt but my internet kept on going on and off saying the dsl cable was not working. so i phoned them up and they said it was my computer, so i got pc world out and they said no its the router, so i went back to bt and they said no its the pc. SO i went to sky and my router is going off and on and off. so i phoned pc world and they said it is my phone line.
      PLEASE HELP!!!

      what do thr lights on the router do when the internet goes off (does the green light go orange)
      you could also do a test from your "Test" socket (see first link in my sig)
      this will rule out your internal wiring asa problem

      post some router stats from your set up now and from the test socket

      If both your BT and Sky routers were physically turning on and off, then this indicates an issue with the power socket you are using, or even your power supply in general

      If its just you connection that drops, but the router stays on, then it could be a telephone line fault and/or a configuration issue on your line.

      Or, it could just be Skys Line management messing things up. Both Sky and BT use Dynamic Line management to get the best from your line, and this can result in an intermittent connection.
