    This is a discussion on is there a dlm opt out? my routers goin crazy :( within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; bloody line stats are going crazy past week my uploads been capped at 542 and my downstreem keeps syncing between ...

      is there a dlm opt out? my routers goin crazy :(

      bloody line stats are going crazy past week my uploads been capped at 542

      and my downstreem keeps syncing between 5300kbps and 5700kbps

      when i know my lines only stable at 4800kbps but upstream shouldnt have dropped the sneaky sods

      wish they would stop resyncing my line grrrrrr

      im fine with it setting my own snr lol

      Connection Speed 5715 kbps 542 kbps
      Line Attenuation 50.5 db 31.2 db
      Noise Margin 6.2 db 9.5 db

      could sky user try to organise an opt out system with sky seen as so many people are having problems

      not really, if you think out of the 300,000 so far...there are probably about 1000 having issues - they just all post here!!!

      Email sent, I wouldn't hold out much hope though. Will report back if I get a reply, however I have a feeling our email ends up in their spam account for some strange reason.

      Well the tell tell signs of DLM are the 412/792 upstream.

      saying that they might be doing somthing right my lines holding at the moment and look at my snr now its gone dark and the streetlights have come on

      snr of 1.8 lmao
      if i set my snr at 14 during the day it tends to go to 7 at night leaving a stable connection
      must admit i never thought i would see mine holding at 1.8 lol

      There is no opt out and as long as you leave your router alone it should complete fairly quickly or at the very least hit a more stable setting so that the drop outs are less frequent.
      Yet again Sky have kicked off something without even letting customers know, I take it no one received warning of this on their main sky email account?
