      Re: Installing without the disc?

The disc isn't needed for your broadband. It just contains McAfee AV and also messes around with your browser settings.

      Re: Installing without the disc?

you just plug the router into your phone socket via a filter (bearing in mind all sockets in use in the house HAVE to have a filter on them also), and the ethernet cable into your USB-ethernet port...so long as the usb adapter has the right drivers and the router has a green internet light you're good to go...

As soon as the internet light on your router changes from flashing amber to solid amber then to solid green you are logged in. The user name and password are built into your router.
The username and password you will have been sent are for logging in to your Sky e-mail account.

And if you don't get the user name and password for sky.com just call sky BB tech support tier 1 and tell they you didn't receive it, they can tell you the user name there and then and also take you through a password reset so you can log in to Sky.com by the end of the call, takes less than 5 mins if your profile was completed properly when you signed up.

      Re: Installing without the disc?

You're better off without the installation disk that comes with the Sky connection. McAfee is a monster that just loves to slow your PC down, avoid it if you can.

Still NO solution from Sky! Still not fixed!
