      get fed up with sky router

      i am really starting to get fed up with the sky router keep cutting out i am really tempted to use my own but i know i cant sooo annoying that i have to use skys cheap and nasty router when my belkin is far better

      help before i lob the router out the window!

      why cant you?...if sjy say anything just say the netgear packed up on you and you were unable to get through to their support.

      apparently they can tell if ur using anoher router

      is it the wireless thats cutting out or the phone line? if its the line i doubt u will find a router that will work better (unless your sky router is faulty).

      try changing your filters.

      post some line stats.

      everytime phone rings it cuts out and in bad weather it plays up

      stats

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 2048 kbps 416 kbps
      Line Attenuation 63.5 db 31.5 db
      Noise Margin 5.3 db 14.0 db

      basically the solution went:

      try with the test socket.

      make sure everything connected to the line is properly filtered.

      try replacing the filter
