Slamming - and no help from Sky

My daughter has (had) Sky TV, Broadband and Talk. Until April she paid BT for the line rental and Sky for her voice calls. Tempted by cheaper line rental from Sky, she switched the line rental to Sky as well.

At the end of May her phone was cut off. Apparently, another (unspecified) phone company had told Sky that they were taking over the phone line and calls. I understand that this is called Slamming.

When we discovered what the problem was, we contacted Sky, who were totally unhelpful. They said it wasn't their problem and that only BT could reconnect the line. BT have today done that, and voice calls are now possible. However, the Broadband does not work. Contacting Sky, my daughter has been told that Sky want 30 to re-connect the broadband - that they disconnected!

This is outrageous. Any thoughts anyone?

By reading through things sky did not cut it off, "At the end of May her phone was cut off. Apparently, another (unspecified) phone company had told Sky that they were taking over the phone line and calls."

Did her broadband move as well ? If not just phone up support and say the boadband is not working. Through a bit of TS simple questions like is the internet light on etc. They should run a tone test which would fail and get the whole thing logged to bt, with no charge to you.

Initially, while voice calls could neither be made nor received, the data connection was still live, and the broadband worked. however, the broadband connection was subsequently disconnected also (after we started to complain?)

If her line was taking over by another unspecified company then there is nothing Sky itself can do as you need to deal with the company that took the line or BT Wholesale to get the tags removed.
Until BT re-connected the line properly there may have been a time when Sky could not access the line and this caused the BB to be ceased. If this is the case you need to talk to provisioning to get it put back on. If you call Sky BB tech support tier 1 and ask them to check if you have a valid service ID against the line/ bb account this will tell them if it can be sorted through CST or provisioning.
