I wonder if any of you guys can help me. I was switched over from Pludnet to Sky today, and my Sky router is syncing at a very simular speed to my 8Mb DSL Max I had. Should I be syncing at something faster as I am on the Sky MAX product, below are my router stats.
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7482 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 42.5 db 26.0 db
Noise Margin 7.6 db 12.0 db

I have posted the exact same query! I am syncing actually lower than I was on BT MaxDSL (it was higher to start off with 8.6, then dropped to 7.4mb, 6.1mb). My BT MaxDSL sync was 7mb.
I also thought ADSL2+ would sync higher - but is it because of the SNR rate? (which is about 7db on 8mb) Does this not get effected/improved by ADSL2+?
