Provide date 6 days before cease date !!

Can this really be the case, can it happen this way...or is this one big screw up.

I am migrating from BT Yahoo Broadband to Sky. My activiation date (according to a letter from SKY) is tomorrow (21st September).

I was just checking the BT order tracker (now it has dawned on me, thanks to advice on this forum) that you have to go to BT 'small buisiness' to see it and not 'home' on BT.com), even though my line is at home (residential) and not business.

On there (the BT order tracker). It states my 'provide' of LLU PSTN is tommorow (21st Sept) yet my cease (of BT ADSL) is 26th Sept some 6 days later !!.

Are they (BT) likely to provide (sky) 6 days before they cease (BT).

Anyone else had experience of this. I am sitting here running a book that my provide does not show tommorow, or even on or before my cease date 6 days later.

If it does, I will be truly amazed and eat my hat (on line by some virtual electronic means) for all to see, if I can manage that.

Any info or advice gratefully received.

      Trev.

yes that is the case everyone has had a cease date later then the provide date this is becouse of any delays that sky may have activating you gives them a bit of a window

      Question

Does this mean in that case, that I should be connected with sky tomorrow 21st sept and that ' technically' my BT broadband will still be connectable until the cease date on the 26th....

.... or does this mean that I may be conneced to sky at any time between 21st and 26th (cease date) and it may not neccessary happen on the 21st.

      Hope this makes sense.
