      Question Paypal problems via Sky

      Hi Folks

      Is anyone else having problems accessing Paypal from their Sky account?

      www.paypal.co.uk seems okay but www.paypal.com (which seems to do all the authentication) just times out most of the time.

      I've been trying to pay for something on ebay but haven't been able to pay the guy after retrying many times. Just tried via my work connection and it went through first time.

      Doesn't seem to be anything local to me and other sites are fine.

      I have personally had no issues with Paypal, and we use it an awful lot.

      Hmm - I had problems on Sunday as it was very slow but did go through but today it just wouldn't connect to the US site at all, even after numerous retries.

      Can you load the www.paypal.com page now?

      If you both did traceroutes to see where the problem lies (you may be going via different routes)
      if you both posted back it would be easy to see if that was the problem ? also do you both you the same DNS (sky or openDNS)

      Thanks - out of interest I'm using Sky's DNS servers but it does not appear to be DNS related. I've just done an Nslookup of the domain using the OpenDNS servers, and using the IP(s) provided in the address bar of the browser, still get the same issue.

      I've tried different browsers (in case it was a problem with the cache) and even tried different routers (just in case) all with the same result.

      I'm beginning to wonder if I'm being assigned an IP from a new range and it's a bogons issue but this is the only site i've come across with any issues.

      In fact - thanks for the offer but never mind. The problem was related to a Kaspersky IS issue (now sorted). Thanks for the help though!
