      Recently upgraded to Max

      Hi All,

I eventually got upgraded to Sky Max. And Im not impressed so far!

When I was on the Connect package I had excellent speeds near 7Mb
Im pretty close to the exchange so I was pleased when The max became availible.

At the moment I am having slow connection issues and my internet/model looses the IP address (Solid Orange light) When the phone rings. This is another issues which Im sure there is an answer to on the forum.

So anyway., The main reason for this post.

What "should" I be getting on the Max package?

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 10029 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 23 db 4.5 db
Noise Margin 7 db 17 db

      Connect speed test (Best one)

Hmm. Just done a bit of research on the cut outs when phone is answered... swapped a filter and it seems the problem is with the wireing I did several months ago!!! (We had a new patio door fitted last wednesday... I will blame them for moving the loose plug I hadn't yet attached to the wall!)

well, seeing as your attenuation has gone down and sync gone up it would definitely seem as though your wiring was at fault!!! do you get any improvement from the test socket?...

      Re: Recently upgraded to Max

The last results posted are plugged into the Master socket (No test socket installed)

All seems to be at an acceptable level at the moment. It used to be the same from the test socket as it was through my wireing. But something has obviously changed. The plug I wired in has been moved but I havnet got time to have a decent look at it at the mo. From looking at other stats posted by others, I am pleased with these figures.

Its an improvement on the last few months anyway. And its a 1/4 of the price of the last ISP I was with for their 20Mb service.
