      Angry Cannot connect to Sky Broadband

      Tried accessing the internet this morning for my connection globe in the taskbar to show " Local only "

      Ive tried resetting the router, but still no luck.
      In the router settings, where you can view the downstream and upstream, It says disconnected, even when i press connect

      I am in Manchester and my exchange in Failsworth.

      Any ideas.?

      That sounds similar to a fault I and another Manchester user were having on this site.

      I have my problem resolved now (1 of 2, see below) but the other Manchester area user hasn't. In my case it was a problem at the exchange that Sky had to get someone out to look at and resolve. It takes some work to get to that stage though, you'll have to endure several times through the scripts with the initial support people before you get to the technical team to sort that out.

      It may also be other issues too. The best thing you can do is start in the queue now to get through to the Sky technical team and see what they unearth for you.

      best thing you can do is make sure up to scratch as 99.9% of time the issue is at the user end...this post above is an exception...

      also, so long as you're honest and don't try and bulls*** your way past tier 1 you'll get to CST a lot quicker, but process dictates everything is checked/replaced before engineers are assigned...

      I don't think it's fair to say it's the exception, there are other people too that have had problems with their Sky connection that haven't been caused by local issues.

      Yes, local issues can be the cause of the problem, but to say that it's an exception for them not to be is misleading.


      Still NO solution from Sky! Still not fixed!
