Loosing connection after 5 mins approx.

I have had Sky BB for nearly 2 years now.

I suppose I have got used to the constant loosing connection problem I have had but overall I have found Sky BB a good option for me financially and considering I can only get 1 mb connection in my area its been better than dial up.

      1.
Basically every time I turn my computer on my BB connects automatically as you would expect but after about 5 minutes, the connection is lost!! I have to do the 192.168.0.1 thing and reset the router.

After this its ok for hours and hours.

I did once consider calling sky about this but unfortunatly to no avail there were useless (Although a very nice person, was in an Indian call centre) and they just told me to reset my PC..............ARRRRRGGHHHHH.

Anyone else had this problem? and / or know how to fix it?

      2.
This last week or so I have been having a different problem - the router internet light sometimes flashing then randomly goes on a constant orange. Although it was green and connected ok.

Anyone else had this problem ??

I am a bit apprehensive about going out and buying a new router because I have heard other people having problems setting it up.

      Thank you in advance :-)

      1. When it flashes orange it means its trying to establish a connection.

      2. Constant orange indicates the router has established a connection but is waiting to be assigned a IP address.

Could you please post your stats from here.

      http://192.168.0.1/setup.cgi?PATH=/b...%261+2%3E%261;

Please copy and paste all of it here

Also are you plugged into the Master socket (First socket leading into the premises)?

You should resubmit your stats using the test socket behind the master socket without anything else connected, if at all possible.

Sorry Pat, I am not sure what you mean with regards to test socket

Do you mean the telephone socket?
