ADSL+ to GMDT then back to ADSL+

Had sky broadband max since August 2006. On ADSL+. Attention is 40.5 but have not had many problems with disconnections as mainly use during day and not in evenings when most problems with disconnections seemed to have occurred. Since new firmware no problems at all until yesterday morning. Router kept disconnecting. When checking stats after reconnection was stable discovered had been put on GMDT. Checked router stats again today to see if connection had remained stable and now back on ADSL+.
Anyone got any ideas why this happened. Are Sky tinkering with my connection even though I have not phoned them with any problems.

Re: ADSL+ to GMDT then back to ADSL+

I have been waiting to see if this had happened to anyone else. I have a nice stable 20db line, but I was switched to between Gmdt and ADSL2+ just as you describe.
I think Sky may be gathering data for line management, but I may be compleatly wrong. Has this happened to anyone else?
