      Not Entirely Happy!

      Well been on sky max awhile now and been relatively pleased with the service but Seeing some of the speeds on here i think i should be getting alot better than what im currently receiving..

      Can you post some router stats and tell us if you are hard wired or wireless, or using any extentions

      log into the router by gong to 192.168.0.1 username is admin, pass is sky. We are interested in your downstream attenuation figure.

      I'm interested in which socket you're in... Nobody ever tends to be in their master socket if it's a wired connection.

      well with 44db you should get aroun 6-8Mb as its the same figs as my set up.

      see my sig and try the TEST socket under the master socket and then repost the stats (even if your speed doesnt change).

      If it's not in the master socket at the minute put it in and see if the stats change. I'd give Sky a quick call and tell the Tier 1 agent that you've just been asked to try the test socket for a slow connection, you'll then get asked to run netstat in command prompt: say you have less than 10 connections and you'll get the CST treatment. It'd get sorted in no time - provided you haven't got a dodgy setup...
