Constant DC's after every hour or so

I moved from Orange to Sky about 6 months ago due to orange braodband being a complete joke. Now when I switched to sky I got the MAX package and was getting speeds of around 14k (You are around 1.01 kilometres from your exchange as the crow flies) and few DC's. Now around mid jan i was having a few problems with DC's happening very frequently, spoke to sky and they capped my line at 8mb and the problem sort of went away.

Now the constant DC's are back and very annoying and I am at a loss at what to do. Now my router NETGEAR Super Wireless ADSL Router DG834GT is not plugged into my master socket since the last owners moved it downstairs into the KITCHEN ,it is in my room where I have a socket. I recenly bought a new filter (XF-1e Professional ADSL2/2+ Microfilter) to see if that helped in anyway and at 1st it sort of did, went about 7hrs with no DC. I have tried with just the fliter by itself, fliter with phone and sky connected and fliter with no sky connected and still the same outcome with constant dc's.

So can any1 help shed some light and help out a little with advice or point me in the right direction to a useful thread would be very much appreciated.

Re: Constant DC's after every hour or so

You really need to plug it into the master socket or the hidden test socket behind it (remove two screws). Also post your Detailed stats from here.

This is a very high error rate, certainly enough to knock out your connection. You must check from the TEST socket and post a comparison. Remember if you are capped, your sync will not rise, but your noise margin should rise considerably.
