If you have an NTE5 faceplate, which is removable to expose a test socket, then having no wiring connected to the removable part is good as you have no telephone extensions which could attract interfence.
Just the 20m one to worry about in that case

Thats what I have. Would buying a new faceplate e.g. XTE make much difference in speeds? And how can I lower pings more? I've heard interleace 8/8 or something. I've got my max delays reduced now I THINK but not sure. Ping to bbc at about 35 ms. And I would like it in the 20s as I am a competetive gamer. Also, I can't seem to get the detailed router stats working. Can someone post me a link for it please?

      Ok pings. (24/05/08)

Re: Max Delays ; Ping, HELP !

Go away and post in your own thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the reply i got....

      Dear Mr S---,

Thank you for contacting Sky Broadband Technical Support.

I spoke with our Customer Solutions Team on your behalf this morning and they have now managed to get your line syncing at just over 3MB. They did try to set your line higher than this but it started to produce many errors. Because of this they set your line to 3MB whilst maintaining good ping latencys.
