Sky talk does not effect your line, sky talk is through the BT line as normal and does not put anything else on the line. If you have an optic fibre cable, non copper coted cable, Dacs (Shared Line), partial cable line or someone's tried to hi jack your line then this will create the "Incompatible line" issue. Call Ofcom and advise them that there is something on the line and no one is taking responsability for it. They should then find out who it belongs to and resolve it with them. You should hear from Ofcom within 10 days

      Regards

      Re: Getting the merry-go-round treatment

Spoke to somebody at Be today after the bank holiday and it seems that my "incompatable product" is indeed Sky Broadband they refuse to go from LLU to LLU and when I said that they are the only ISP that won't take my new order they more or less said tough luck and I would have to be completely clear from Sky before they would process any order.

So looks like I'm sticking with Sky and nuts to O2/Be.

Very strange, why would they shoot themselves in the foot that way?

The guy I spoke to was in America and it sounded like they didn't give a hoot one way or the other if people from Sky joined up or not.

Most likely why Be was sold, hopefully o2 instead of spending a fortune on fancy ads get in and update their systems and get on top of this.

      Re: Getting the merry-go-round treatment

Yup a couple of people have gone over but he did mention that there was a LLU to LLU problem in the past, perhaps Be/O2 haven't fixed it properly as I said earlier all other ISP's I have checked with had no problems when they check my line and apart from being on Sky LLU i have a bog standard line.
