see what you mean about the upload (448) but does not looked capped to me as the figure above (544) is not that far away from where you are.

first thing to try would be to reboot the router and see if the upstream changes back to normal Power off at plug)

      Re: Slow Uploads speeds

Sorry about this had to login with my other account because i can't change my email to subscribe to this topic, tried i reboot (unplugged from wall for about 5 mins) but still the same the only other thing i can think of causing this would be that i moved my pc and the router up stairs and needed to use an extension which i wired directly in to the back of the master socket and then up into the spare room and in to a new slave socket then i have a filter box which the router is connected to i didn't think this would have been a problem as the download speeds where still ok?

      Re: Slow Uploads speeds

may be worth just doing a comparison from your test socket to rule out the new wiring.
i would have thought the same as you about the downstream being affected, but we could both be wrong

      Re: Slow Uploads speeds

ok think i've sorted it now if i plug anything into the master socket i get the slow upload speeds and all this because i wired a extension lead directly in to the back of the master socket, strange. Thanks for your help Richone54

      Re: Slow Uploads speeds

      glad its sorted,
have you thought about an ADSLnation face plate for your master socket, you could then run a dedicated extention for the BB to the other room (have look in the cabling and faceplate forum, there is loads of info and also the correct sort of cable which at the moment i cannot rember the name of)

      Re: Slow Uploads speeds

Cheers once again Richone, bought one of the adslnation faceplates a while ago but couldn't figure the wiring (found the guide now on here though) out so throw it in a draw some where have to dig it out one day and try again as for the cable can you use cat5e outside? i now i should ask this in the other forum but thought whilst i'm here
