If your son is a keen gamer you should ask Sky to reduce your delay. Your stats show you are set at the default and a reduction would considerably reduce the 'lag'. Have a look at this thread for more info-

Cat5 is made in interior and exterior grades, the exterior having a higher grade PVC cover. There is nothing to stop you using interior outside, but it is likely to deteriorate with sun and rain, so it should not be too exposed.

As I said exterior quality cable is available, but it seems to be a lot more expensive than standard. The Chooser on this site will give you an idea of the cost etc. I think cable only, is only available in large reels, but if you know someone with BTO, they might be able to get you a bit.

      Re: Slow Uploads speeds

I don't see any change I think it should show in this section-
      ADSL2 framing
      MSGc: 64 66
      B: 234 14
      M: 1 8
      T: 2 1
      R: 16 16
      S: 0.4580 8.0000
      L: 4384 136
      D: 64 8

For the lowest delay I believe this should read D: 8 8, but I could be wrong. I doubt if there are many in the country that can boast of stats like these. You will be in the top 1% speedwise and would be one of the very few who could get the full 24 Mb, should it ever become available. You must live very close to your exchange.
