... with HTTP transfer speeds as for the past couple of weeks now web pages seem to be very slow, very very slow!

Pings are fine as normal and so is tracert by the looks of things, i know the line is ok as my Newsgroup DL's are still peaking at 1600kb/s but page loads are just bad.

I have the latest Net Gear firmware (official one not Sky) and im on the Bingley Exchange.

No everythings OK with me. I can improve page loading and rendering by swapping to Firefox v3 beta 5. It might be worth trying that. Or how about lowering the MTU from 1500 to 1490? Might help. You'll find it in the router set up.

Try using OpenDNS many find that it is much quicker and more dependable than the Sky servers. It is more convenient if they are set in your router, rather than the individual PCs.

Firefox 3 also flies, but remember it is still in Beta, so could have some bugs.
