It seems to me that on one has done anything to my account since it all went wrong on the 12th. Everyone was assuming the systems were correct. Even though for the last week I've been telling them that BT were saying they haven't had any cease request.

And they only pulled their fingers out when I sent my email of complaint.

Hopefully, but I have my doubts.

The women I spoke to on Wednesday said it would be 30 days calendar for the line to get cleared then the 10 days working days on top of that to get it activated. And apparently there is nothing they can do to speed things up.

So if that is the case it would be a grand total of 71 days after my order was placed for my service to be active. A real good advertisement for signing up.

I've phoned a few different numbers trying to speak to someone at Easynet who might be able to help me. I asked them if they had a service similar to BTW where you could phone up and find out the status of your line. But everyone I've spoken to says they can't help me. One lady suggested I phone UK Online. Which I did, but of course I got told that they coudn't help me and that I should talk to Sky.

These are the numbers I tried:
      0800 053 0558
      0800 053 0582
0800 053 0707 - Got I recorded message asking me to leave a mesage and they would get back to me.

The other numbers on the Easynet web site are Corporate and Partners. So I didn't bother phoning them as I'm pretty certain they would tell me that they can't help as I'm an end user.

Do you know any other numbers that I might be able to try?

I was over 3 weeks past my activation date and had spoken to CS and the provisioning dept many times only to be told the same thing...ie its BT's delay not ours. During this time BT insisted they never had any order for my line and nothing showed up on the BT order tracker. I suggested sky resubmit my order but was refused saying BT had lied to me!!

Eventually I wrote to the escalation dept and James Murdoch and guess what!! Next day a sincere letter of apology, credit to my account and an order suddenly appears on the BT tracker website! This was obviously no coincidence, sky have a problem with their ordering system in that some orders are not reaching BT when their computers are saying they have and its an impossible task to convince them otherwise!

my main concern is that this request hasn't been forwarded properly. At least with BT there is a phone number or the online tracker to use to check the status. With Easynet there doesn't appear to be any such thing.

Nothing is showing on the BT checker, but then I wouldn't really expect it to if the request has been sent to Easynet.

      Well I'll be.

I just got a phone call from sky, some guy in the Service Recovery team (or somthing like that). He said that he is going to be looking after it from now on and will keep me in the loop.

I'm not going to get my hopes up, but this is the first positive thing to happen since I started phoning them 2 weeks ago.

Well that is good news and I have to say not seen anyone post anything about a Service Recovery team before so maybe this is a new approach by SkyBB to get things sorted.

Lets hope this works for you
