Please use "post reply" rather than "quote" when responding to the latest post in a thread - unless replying to a specific point. In which case use quote then edit out the unneeded parts.
Looking at your stats there's very little probability that Sky have capped you (a test socket comparison would confirm). The simple fact is that you have a noisy line. See the cabling and faceplate help forum for advice.
With regard to the noise margin staying the same but the sync changing - that's how it works. See the first sticky in my signature for an explanation.

im gonna give bt a bell maybe because it seems like their problem!!
however when sky guy i think he must of been tier 2 because he got my connection to 2560

Exactly...when I was with pipex for 2 years it never did this either..... just too coincidental for it to be working fine for days on at at 1856kbps then drop right down to 416kbps......

Its bloody annoying......I just find it hard to believe that it can work flawlessly for 72hours at 1856kbps.....then drop right down to 416kbps......to me thats just a too bigger drop for there not to be a problem....
