Lost connection for 6 hours today

For some strange reason i lost my connection all morning today. The phone was odd as well as it kept making strange noises. Finall it got to the point where i had no phone and no internet.

I phoned sky first of all and they said there was no problem thier end and offered to send me yet another router which i declined and said i had two already.

Then i phoned BT did a line check and they came back and said there was a fault on the line, and they would send somebody out on the 25th Sept.

Meanwhile i kept trying to connect using a dial in modem with only limited success (my goodness have you tried those things however did we manage?

Then about 30 mins ago, i thought i would try the router - and it connected.

So what was going on i have no idea - but glad to be back online again.

I did find it funny to get offered yet another router though - i was very tempted - could set up my own business selling them
