Your attentuation is a high as it gets for a broadband connection. However you should be capable of slightly more. Can you describe your router connection to the telephone line

      Hi Samperry.
You have a long line and high attenuation (it is prob higher than 63.5db). There is no room for slapdash connection methods if you are to get a reliable connection. So do this.

      (1) Get a filter faceplate (XTE-2005 from ADSL Nation
if you do not have a NTE-5 master socket then get BT to fit one (or do it yourself. this is against BT T&C's but many have)

      (2) Put your router as close to the master socket as you can and connect to the filter with a short lead.

      (3) Connect router to computer by cable or mains network addaptor.

Have you tried to connect to the test socket behind the master socket. TBH though i dont think with your line attentuation you will squeeze much more out of your connection if any
