      Laptop Internet Connection Problem

      Have a Sony Vaio laptop. The laptop recognises that it is connected to the internet via the router but will not connect to any web pages. Can anyone please help?

      i assume you are working or trying to work wirelessly
      try the lan cable
      is router internet light green or anber or flashing in either colour

      As usual, start by connecting the computer to router by ethernet cable, address the router's user interface vis your browser (see tutorials on this site or the help files on the Sky CD) disable wireless security until you achieve a reliable wireless connection.

      Then reapply the WPA passphrase to the router and apply it to the laptop's wireless adapter settings.
