Re: laptop not recognising internet connection

Wired or Wireless, is wireless have you switched the wireless adapter on? There is usually a switch somewhere on the body of the machine or a key combination. Has your laptop been able to connect to another connection eg at work?

Are you able to connect to the router at all? Open a browser and type http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar. Try ping the router by opening a Command Prompt, typing ping 192.168.0.1 and hit enter.
