I've just had a brain storm.

They move you over to the 'mid' package (when available), correct?

They don't charge you 40 again do they? If so, then that's what it's for, no?

just called sky, waited 15 mins and spoke to someone in scotland - i supplied my mac code from pipex, and they said they would send me all the equipment an software. they did ask for the 40 connection fee (bt costs) and said that they woul not charge me another connection fee once my exchange is upgraded. but i will move to the max package and will phone them up and ask for the 40 back..worth a go
