      Re: Netgear DG834GT problems

it may be worth noting too that i have the same extended ping test to google on another laptop, connected via wifi and on a sky bb connection, two houses down from me so the same exchange (parents house basically) and this has far less time outs, infact only one in about 30-40 requests.

      Re: Netgear DG834GT problems

No, the new firmware is not available for download yet. The file will be included here when it is available -
Sky User - Unofficial Help and Support for Sky Broadband and everything Sky! - How to update your Sky Netgear V1 Router with the new FW

Incidentally, have you received any automatic updates from MS in the last few days? I ask, as one I received (11th Apr.) messed up my Outlook settings, it could be your problem is also related to an update. Might be worth having a look in your Updates list to see if anything looks like it could have caused the problem.

That probably means it is running on the generic Vista drivers. Normally you would install the adapter drivers and get a choice of using WZC or the native driver, most select the WZC as it is normally easier to use. If you have not installed the driver, you will not get the choice. Hopefully you will get a better reult from ethernet.
