      virgin here we come!!!

coming up to a yr with sky good price 10 for 16 but the meg most we have ever seen is 3 meg and a ping of 70 ms .I think this is to do with B.t lines and our phone sockets.Have had no joy phoning india and getting nowhere ...fibre optic cables must be the way to go.perhaps speeds of over 10 meg are just around the corner

Don't forget speed capping for more than moderate use as well.

Frankly I would rather have a full frontal labotomy rather than go back to cable, NTHell did everything they could to get rid of me as a customer and then burnt every single bridge they could to prevent me from returning.
I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

As monday says do you dl a lot cause if you do a 3 meg unshaped connection will be much better than a 10meg one that is shaped most of the time. Its been reported that heavy users have their sync reduced to 10 % of their normal sync at busy times - 10 % of 10meg = 1meg.

Have a look for nthellworld.co.uk there are a LOT of complaints about the shaping as it is impacting people outside the set times, its kicking in early in some cases and the VM billing system is as pants as it gets. We are ex NTL and believe me we are much happier with Sky CS. Oh by the way, there are no call centers in India for Sky so you may want to check what number you called

Have you asked sky to reduce your max delays ? This will reduce the ping.
