      Unhappy Connecting to Netgear DG934G

I'm wondering if somebody can help, I've moved across to sky and they've provided me with a Netgear DG934G router. Over the last couple of evenings I been downloading through the night but when I check if the morning it fails this is because it drops my wireless connection, if I do a repair on the connection this seems to resolve the problem.

      Can somebody help me?

I'm currently on channel 6, will changing this make a difference? I've got a baby monitor running so will this conflict with this?

      Any help is much appreciated.

First thing to do is turn off UPnP in the router. Next, change channel to a higher one that isn't being used by someone else within range - 13 if available. Then move the router as far away as possible from any other electrical influences - yes that baby monitor will be affecting your wireless connection.

      Re: Connecting to Netgear DG934G

disco king my 1 week old netgear v2 router was also loosing wireless connection several times a day especially for my daughter using laptop upstairs router is on a shelf at bottom of stairs in halway it was on channel 1 switched of upnp and changed to channel 11 which my previous router used and today its been a lot more stable only repaired once today my old netgear dg834g also lost connection at times so dont panic to much, yeh and i also moved my digital cordless phone baseunit off the shelf that the router sits on and i also use router with its stand and have base (with the sky sticker) facing outwards towards the stairs as its been said on other threads that the ariels are in the base so it gives it a fighting chance if its stood on its side

      good luck
