Slow Sync Speed when Boot up Router

      Hi,

I have noticed recently that when I boot up my router from being off my sync speed for up and downstream are slow. My upload speed will show as 160kb/s in the router config pages. Although the download sync speed shows in there as 8160 the actual throughput is around 2mb.

I then have to restart my router, sometimes 2-3 times, and then it will sync correctly and my upload is back to 460 and my download speed is around the normal 6.8mb.

Anyone else have the same problems?

as 8160 the actual throughput is around 2mb.
This seems to indicate that the problem is with your PC (or wireless connection if you are using it) Download and run TCPOptimiser it will optimise your PC's settings to give you the best connection possible.

You should also have a look in the Cable and Faceplate form for ideas on how to improve your wiring.

Re: Slow Sync Speed when Boot up Router

      Thanks for the reply.

I work in IT and have already sorted all my sockets just to have wires 2 and 5 fixed. O already use TCP optimiser.

After rebooting the routrt 2or 3 times I get my upstream back to normal and my download speed of around 6.8mb.
