      Sky Broadband Max to Connect

      Hi

Sorry if i have posted this in the wrong selection but,

Im currently with Sky using there Boardband max package but i am moving in June and the area a couple miles away do not have the sky broadband installed at the exchange so they can only offer me the 17 a month connect package.

I am not paying 17 for broadband with sky for a less service im getting now for 10.

Is there any change or have people ever got sky to give them the connect package for 10..

if not what is a good broadband provider to go with for the same price but unlimited usage but have a great service like sky with not blocking of P2P or throttling etc?

      Thanks

They will usually only give you Connect at 5 if your exchange is due to be upgraded within the next six months or so, if they haven't offered that to you then it might be a while being it is unbundled.

I know of an offer if you have just taken sky out and you take sky talk with the broadband connect they can do it for 10 per month but i am unsure if this offer is still on or can be applied to existing customer accounts.

Probs best bet is to speak to cancellation's department and see if they can give you an offer on the connect package as a loyal customer offer or something as you are moving home and you want to keep the services with sky but will cancel everything and move somewhere different for everything

They will probably not get you a discount because it is of your own choice that you are moving.

^^^^ ( No.4 ) So if for example, you were to get divorced and had no choice but to move house you would get a discount ?

      ^^^^^^^^^^
I think it was in response to your statement #4, that as the OP was moving by choice he would not get a discount, which infers that if it was not his fault he would get a discount. To be honest, I don't think for one moment that Sky could give a stuff why you are moving if they want to keep you they will give a discount, if they don't care, they wont.

But that was not what i meant i meant that sky did not tell you to move house and if you are in contract period you cannot leave.

I think you should stop digging lad

Do you think the forum members are all mind-readers, how else are we to know 'what you meant'? It is also ridiculous to say if you are under contract you cannot leave. Anyone can leave at any time, provided they comply with the T & Cs.
